This doctor tells you everything that will be done during the surgery and the after care. He is caring, considerate and generally a very nice person that listens to you and puts you at ease. I couldn’t have had a better surgeon to perform my total knee replacement.
I can now walk properly again.

Very successful knee replacement surgery last year. Happy with pre op consultation for second knee, taking into consideration my personal circumstances and needs. Was very polite, easy to communicate with, explained my x rays and future care plan. Doctor Agrawal is a true professional in his field and should be acknowledged for his expertise of his work. I would highly recommend Doctor Agrawal to anyone requesting a total knee replacement after my experience of this surgery.

Total hip replacement December 2021
I felt great confidence in Dr Agrawal from my first appointment. He listened to me, and took careful note of my difficulties. He particularly measured the difference in my leg lengths, and tried to minimise that during the operation. The wound was smaller than I had expected, and other health professionals who have seen me since my operation have praised his work, and the neatness and good healing of the scar.
It was well worth travelling 4 hours each way to see him. I would like him to do my other hip which also needs surgery.

This Doctor makes you feel at ease he is always interested in your progress. Doctor Agrawal is patient and really fills you with confidence. He and all his team treated me with dignity respect and I felt almost like a friend. I hope in the future that I deal with him and his team again as I am totally happy with the service and the surgery I received. All I can do is say thank you for his great work.

Mr Yuvraj Agrawal is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in performing hip and knee joint replacements. His NHS practice is based at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust, Birmingham.
He completed his Basic Surgical Training in Leeds and Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Sheffield and affiliated hospitals.
He undertook an advanced fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham and an Adult Joint Reconstruction fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. The fellowships helped him gain further experience in managing complex trauma and complex problems of the hip and knee joints. He has also visited centres in India, Nepal, South Africa and the US which has helped him understand the different healthcare systems.
He worked as a Consultant in Orthopaedic Trauma & Lower Limb Arthroplasty at the Nottingham University Hospitals for 18 months before being appointed at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. In addition to performing hip and knee replacements, his interests are failed joint replacements, joint infections and periprosthetic fractures.
He has been actively involved in various research projects and has been awarded various academic prizes at regional and national level. He has authored a textbook chapter and have published scientific articles in peer reviewed journals. He is keen teacher and instructs on a number of national courses for medical students and trainee orthopaedic surgeons.
